Samsung Galaxy View Review

This tablet looks big. Is it?

You’d better believe it. With an 18.4-inch display, the Galaxy View is a bit of a beast. It’s almost double the size of the iPad Air 2, making it one of the biggest slates currently on the market.

Right… why?

We’re consuming more and more video content on mobile devices – that’s a fact – so here’s a device you can keep at home and enjoy your latest Netflix or YouTube binge on without squinting at the poxy five-inch display of your smartphone. It’s even got a built-in stand so you don’t get arm ache from holding it.

But I’ve got a TV.

As do many of us, but even the smartest of TVs fail to provide a slick streaming and catch-up service. The Galaxy View has an interface geared towards video consumption.

Plus, with a sizeable built-in battery, you’re not restricted to positioning it near a mains socket.

Just think how good bathtime will be!

Does it just do video, then?

Absolutely not. The Galaxy View is a full Android tablet, providing access to the well-stocked Google Play Store for all your app and gaming needs, plus the Chrome Web browser, email clients and a whole lot more.

STAND AND DELIVER

The Galaxy View comes with a built-in stand, enablinq you to prop it up anywhere and enjoy your favourite videos. There’s even a carry-handle for easy portability
